old score report and retake

by Path Fri May 16, 2008 11:04 am

If I send the score to a school before the retaking the exam, will school automatically get the new score of retake even If I don't send the score to that school afterwards?

I was trying to see if this way if the score does not improve or goes down, school will not know about the retake.

Thank you for your inquiry.

Your score will not be sent automatically. You would need to elect to send them the score when you take the test or ask afterwards.

Dear Sir,

Hope you can solve my query here:

I am about to retake my GMAT in the coming week and I have some queries pertaining to the 'reporting scores' part.

1) Will I be able to choose five NEW schools when i retake the exam? or Will the five schools I sent my scores to last time be chosen as default ?

2) Let's say once done with the retake, I have to send my GMAT score to a school, then will it be in my control that which score I send out? or Will it be the case that the school (i choose to send my score to) will receive both the scores? or will the school receive the highest score??

Hope you reply at the earliest as I have my GMAT next week..

Regards,

Hi there,

You may want to double-check in one of the specific GMAT forums, as I am not an expert on the test itself. But I believe to answer your questions:

1) You can choose 5 new schools if you are retaking the exam

2) I'm unsure on this one and don't want to give you the wrong answer, suggests checking the GMAT board at:

Good luck!
