Placements at BSchools

Hi,
I am planning to take GMAT in Sept'10 to apply for the batch startign mid 2011. I have a question regarding some of the European BSchools.

I have heard that schools like IVSEAD and LBS, especially Londona Business School do not offer stratured placements for MBA program. And that all the placements happen through individual networking. Is that true? Is it true in general for European BSchools?

Hi Tanmaya,

Thanks for writing in. If I understand your question correctly, you are concerned that European schools do not offer formal recruiting programs to help their students find jobs?

While I only have a cursory familiarity with the schools you mention, I do not believe that is the case. A quick check of the INSEAD career web site (http://mba.insead.edu/careers/opportunities.cfm), for example, describes the recruiting calendar at that school.

You can always call the career services offices of the schools you are interested in and ask about the recruitment process if you want more information on how it is structured.
