Can someone please walk me through this problem? Where is the split - what is the primary error?

Please

1) make sure to post this in the proper folder (this is a GMATPrep verbal question so it should be in the GMATPrep Verbal folder)

2) use screen shots only for complicated diagrams or other things that can't easily be typed in. It takes significantly longer to answer a question if we have to download the image and we're trying to answer as many questions as we possibly can.

3) when you do post this in the GMATPrep Verbal folder, make sure to follow the subject header naming convention (use the first 8 words of the problem as the subject header for your post)
