Profile Analysis

Hello Manhattan team,

My profile in a nutshell
GMAT - 740 ( Quant 50, Verbal 40)
2.5 years work experience as a software engineer.
I volunteer for some local schools.
Experience of organizing events in college.

I ll be applying for full time MBA courses starting in 2014.
Which business schools in USA should I apply to, considering my profile. I mean realistic targets. Any suggestion/feedback/comment

Hello,

Thanks for sharing your profile. Great job on the GMAT! It will definitely help you stand out academically. However, outside of the GMAT, your profile resembles that of many Indian male engineers, which is a highly represented demographic in the MBA candidate pool. I'd say that you could try for UCLA or Darden, but you should target schools slightly below that - Tepper, Cornell, UNC, USC. And I would also recommend one or two safeties below that like BU or Fischer.

Please note there is a wide range of programs to choose from. I can't tell you which schools specifically to apply to - this is a very personal decision, but I think you'll be competitive at these types of programs.
