Hi and thanks for posting,

You have a solid profile, based on the info you've provided here, for strong global programs. You do have elements in common with a very large group of applicants (engineers from India), but your work at Accenture and your international experiences do help you to stand out some. Your GMAT and academics are strong, so likely your admissions decision will be based on how well you make the case for what you'll bring to the program that is UNIQUE, what experiences and skills you'll bring, what your short and long term goals are and why you need the MBA, and why each program is the best fit for you. In other words, your essays, recommendations and interview will be crucial.

As for your schools list, it is quite a competitive list; you may want to add another 1-2 programs ranked more in the 10-20 range for better chances. You will also want to continue to research the programs and determine which you see as the best fit for you. Think about factors such as geographical region, local setting, class profile, class size, teaching philosophy, curriculum, culture, diversity, etc. As far as consulting, Tuck & Insead in particular jump out at me from your list as good matches, though of course all top programs do a good job preparing for a consulting position. Wharton may be the biggest reach, but again most on your list are pretty competitive. LBS and Insead offer more international diversity in terms of class profiles, while the others will be generally 70% or so Americans within the class. Tuck is less of an Urban setting than the others... there are a lot of things to consider. We have a lot of suggestions on choosing schools in our free e-book, at http://info.mbamission.com/Selecting-Yo ... ram-E-Book, if you are interested.

Good luck on the process!
