I have worked in production for 1 year managing frame assy. Shop with around 100 operators. Where primary responsibility was Quality, schedule adherence & volume adherence
I am a certified internal auditor of TS16949. Was responsible for TS related documentation
I was chosen as Best Cost Management initiative leader across whole company
Currently I am working in Process Planning. I am responsible for facility requirements for introduction of new models, PPAP, FMEA, Work instruction, process Validation, Work estimation using MOST for new models & processes, Facility planning, Layout planning
I have worked on implementation of MOST in Frame Assembly and Weld shop right from work estimation to proving. MOST implementation resulted in around 30% increase in productivity in both areas

I want to continue in operations after MBA
Recos: can get recos from my plant head and division head
My target institutes are ISB, Nanyang, NUS, INSEAD & Haass

I am bit worried about my GMAT score. i may improve score by 20 if i write again but don't know whether it is worth spending time on GMAT rather than on admission.

Hi hemant.bedi,

Thanks for writing. If you think the best your score will improve is 20 points, it may not be worth the dozens of hours spent preparing for the exam. Instead you could spend that time working on your essays and the rest of your applications. Unfortunately I am not familiar with most of the programs you mention so I can't comment on your competitiveness at those programs.

If I may offer one piece of advice -- I noticed you use a lot of industry terms in describing your experience. Keep in mind that admissions officers read thousands of applications from probably hundreds of industry backgrounds, and they can't be an expert in everything. With that in mind, consider describing your experience and accomplishments in high-level terms in order to keep the reader engaged.

Best of luck,

Daniel Richards
