Hello,

Your work experience is very impressive -- to manage 60+ people in a manufacturing unit at age 27 is awesome! You're right that your academic scores are not stellar, but I would think that with your professional experience you could overcome this. However, I also don't see very strong post-college extracurricular/community leadership (Art of Living is very common within your applicant pool, so while it's great and should be part of your story, it won't necessarily set you apart).

I would say that with your current profile, you'd have a decent chance at Darden, NYU and Yale. But perhaps not Stanford, MIT. For these programs, if you feel you can retake the GMAT and get a 700+ score, this would really help offset your slightly low undergrad scores and lack of strong extracurriculars. To be safe, it's probably best to retake it if you have the bandwidth and confidence!

Good luck!
Mili

Hi, thanks alot for the input. I have three more questions:

1. What about going for ISB and NUS?

2. have you seen anybody applying to MIT and Standford first and then taking a re-take because application procedure seems to be rather more tiring and time consuming than studying. So, i am thinking of getting through application procedure first

3. I m involved with Art of Living at North Zonal region but i m not really able to sum it up right now in words. So, if i m able to put up this thing in a better manner, how much it will boost my confidence.

Hi,

I think you could certainly try for NUS and ISB. Obviously a higher GMAT would help, but it's possible.

You can apply to schools and let them know that you plan to retake the GMAT, but if there's anyway to apply with a higher score, I think that's a better option. I know it's tough to manage both...

Without knowing more details about your Art of Living role, it's difficult to say how much it would improve your profile.

Thanks,
Mili
