Hi there,

Thanks for your post and detailed background info. At this point though it's difficult to provide much advice on specific schools without knowing more about what you are looking for. It could be based solely on the GMAT score of 660 in which case, to have a decent chance you'd want to look at schools with an average around that or below, so generally outside of the top-25 US schools as ranked by US News & World Report.

If you were to re-take the GMAT and bump it up 40-50+ points it would help your candidacy and chances of acceptance particularly at more competitive programs, and schools will take your highest score, so there is no reason not to try again with additional prep for the exam.

Factors to consider when choosing schools include:

-geographic region
-class size and profile
-hiring profiles for particular industries or sectors
-teaching philosophy
-what your goals are!
and more.

In terms of your profile, at present you'd be looking at schools ranked in the 25-35 or so range, and you are in a large group of applicants, from India with an engineering and technical background, so you'd need to work hard to differentiate yourself from others in that group.

Let us know if you have additional specific questions or how we can help.

Best,

Jen Kedrowski
