Profile Evaluation

Greetings and Thanks in Advance for your time!

Hello!

I have recently given my GMAT and scored 750. Let me briefly state my credentials.

I am 23 Yrs old, working as a Product Developer in a Leading E-Commerce Company, (eBay) for one year now. I intend to apply for B Schools this year, meaning I would have 2.2 Years of experience at the time of matriculation.

I have graduated from one of the Top Engineering Schools in India. (BITS-Pilani)
Have a GPA of 7.31/10 in my UG
94% in my 12th and 87% in 10th.

At college I have served as the President of the English Language Activities Society.
Have worked in various leadership roles through out my Under Graduation.
Actively participated in numerous Debates/ MUN, also the South Zone Semifinalist in Franky Antony All India Memorial Debate. (10th)

Learnt French as an optional for two years during my 11th and 12th.
Currently enrolled myself in a Beginner Level Course for Spanish which I plan to follow up with an Intermediate Level Course in the next six months.

I understand from the other posts that I have gone through in this forum and elsewhere that 2 years Work Experience on Matriculation is a bit on the lower side.

I request you to evaluate my profile, I intend to and am confident that I can follow up my B School Application with relevant and convincing essays.

I intend to apply for Tepper, Darden amongst other schools. I would like to know my chances for the same.

Would it be a reach or would it be plain impossible to land a B School Admit with the above Profile.

Also I would be grateful if you could let me know what schools I should be looking at with the above stated profile.

I am very thankful for your time spent on going through this post and appreciate any comments or advice on the same. :)

Thank you for sharing your profile, and congrats on your outstanding GMAT score!

You are correct, with just about 2 years of work experience, you are significantly below the average at most reputable business schools, which tend to average 4-5 years of full-time experience. So admission would be a reach... not impossible, but a reach. You would have to work hard to make a case for why NOW is the best time for you to go to b-school vs working a few more years and then applying, and why you are ready/what you'll contribute to the program. That is where the essays and interview really come into play, and it helps if you have a clear career path in mind when you apply that you can confidently describe.

In terms of schools, again you'd have a chance but it wouldn't be a slam-dunk, at the schools you mentioned, with perhaps more so at Tepper than Darden. As for other schools, it really depends on what your career goals are and what you are looking for in a school.
