Hi there,

Wow! This place is amazing! I could only benefit out of these forums! Please could you evaluate my profile for an MBA in the top 20 (US)?

GMAT score: 640 (M:44, V:34)
Years of exp: 5
Field: IT services
Academics: Engineering degree (64% aggregate/3.5 GPA)
Country: India

Other info:
a. Run my own software services company for a yr before I sold y stake and moved to a service company.
b. Was awarded best performer in my business unit at the IT services company

Please could you guide me on the schools in the US I should be applying to?

It is hard to judge your candidacy based on the limited information you provided. Tell us more! How have you progressed in your career? What is the extent of your leadership experiences at work? Do you have leadership roles outside of work? How significant was your entrepreneurial venture? Were you involved in activities during college?

Your candidacy is based on more than just years of experience and your GMAT score....but you should consider retaking the GMAT since your score is below the average GMAT score for the top MBA programs. I would also encourage you to research the programs to get a feel for what you think you would "fit" based on your personal and professional interests.
