It asks us to tell whether the original sentence is correct, and whether the alternative sentence is correct.
original sentence: After the test format was changed, scores subsequently dropped by more than a 25% decrease.
alternative sentence:After the test format was changed, scores dropped by more than 25%
The solution says the alternative sentence is correct because we don't need both after and subsequently . But, can after convey the meaning of "as a result" as subsequently does?
