Reading comprehension

by AsadA969 Thu Jul 23, 2015 5:31 am

Hi, Manhattan GMAT Instructors,
I am taking preparation for GMAT for a long time. I can understand most of the GMAT topics easily but my problem is in Reading comprehension. When I try to solve any Critical Reasoning (it is also a mini-passage !) problem, it takes more than 7 minutes to understand the argument. GMAT will not permit me to waste this huge times in real GMAT. This problem occur not only in CR passage but also in Reading comprehension passage. The Manhattan Instructors ALWAYS say that GMAT will not test my vocabulary anymore. But, I think that I feel problem in Reading comprehension and CR only for lack of reading habit & vocabulary. So, anyone please to give me a perfect suggestion about this problem-I mean how can I eradicate my problem??
Most of the times I Myself thought that I can be, at least, the owner of 750 in real GMAT, if can solve only my reading problem.
Thanks to all.
In addition, when I try to memorize the vocabulary, I can't do it well ; it is so tough for me to memorize the vocabulary!

this kind of thing should be posted in the 'General GMAT Strategy Questions' folder (= first folder on the forum home page).

also, when you post over there, you should give some examples of the 'vocabulary words' that are giving you trouble—and, ideally, the context in which those words appear. (if they're in the official guide, you can just give the edition #'s and problem #'s.)
