Report score to schools if i don't know when I will apply?

by becher.tamara Wed Jul 13, 2011 11:33 pm

Hi,

I was wondering if you recommend that I list schools I'd like to apply to after the gmat even if I don't know that I'll apply this year?

I wanted to focus on the gmat before looking at all the programs out there but I have a general idea of the places I would like to apply. I know it's free to send scores after the gmat so it's recommended but is there any harm in sending them if I never end up applying?

Thanks

Nope. They don't actually "send" anything anymore. What you're really doing is giving the schools permission to see your scores in an online database to which they have access. But... the schools aren't going to look unless they get an application from you because (a) they don't know who you are, and (b) they're really busy. :)

So you're fine - go ahead and "send!"
