Hi Kamal,

Thanks for writing in. Military applicants often can show a very unique application because they've spent time in an occupation where risk-taking, leadership and team strategy are all daily parts of the job. These should be strengths of yours that come through in your essays and can help differentiate you despite your GPA.

Since you are aiming for competitive schools, if you think you can add ~30 points to your GMAT score through practice and preparation, then you may want to retake the exam. But it's not critical, you may be better off spending that time crafting your essays, since your approach and background are going to be what helps make your application stand out.

I hope this was helpful and best of luck!
