Resumptive modifiers

this problem is from kaplan. we can't host kaplan problems on this forum (per an express request from the kaplan organization itself).

also, i have no idea what a "resumptive modifier" is -- and there is no possible benefit in concerning yourself with such obscure terminology. if you're using terms like that, you're just making GMAT SC much harder than it needs to be, by adding completely unnecessary complexity.
