SC doubt about Other Pronoun

by reachdeepaky Mon Jul 05, 2010 4:21 am

It is told in SC guide 3rd edition that 'There' pronoun often refers to an antecdent place which is in the of preposition phase.
(page 84 top)

HOwever in exercise Q 9 (page 92) it is told that noun burried in a prepositional phase is unattractive antecedent.

So, the following two statements are equally correct or statement 1 is preferred over statement to?

Statement 1: At current prices, antarctic oil may be worth drilling for, if wells can be dug in Antartica and environmental concern addressed.

Statement 2: At current prices, oil in antarctic may be worth drilling for, if wells can be dug there and environmental concern addressed.

Your example sentences are too riddled with grammatical errors for me to be able to do anything with them. Please proofread your transcription or at least provide a source so we can properly address your question..
