SC - hygeine(Manhattan Flash Card Doubt)

by goelmohit2002 Sun Oct 04, 2009 3:31 pm

Hi All,

In the Manhattan SC flash cards available at:

http://www.manhattangmat.com/pdf/FlashC ... e_2009.pdf

page#86....

the sentence given is
"My child has better hygiene than those of my sister; neither of her boys ever seem to wash
their hands."

Flash cards say the above is wrong....because of "those"

The same is corrected as

"My child has better hygiene than my sister’s children; neither of her boys ever seems to wash his hands."

Can someone please tell why do why can't we simply change "those" to "that"....is it because...that can refer to hygiene as well ?
