SC: Question about sentence structure

by samwong Sun Jul 22, 2012 5:22 pm

I know OG materials are not allowed on the forum, so here is my variation of OG11 SC37:

Prepositional phrase, five times as many dogs were adopted as would later be adopted in the local store during the holiday season.

What is the subject and verb of this sentence?

Thank you.

i'm going with "dogs" and "were adopted". why does it matter? remember, your job is just to find mistakes and eliminate incorrect answer choices. you don't have to identify the subject and verb in a sentence unless it is relevant to finding grammar mistakes..
