Mr. Kindle’s dog was hit by a car, and this is the reason he was so sad in class today.
a) and this is the reason
b) and this being a good reason why
c) which is the reason why
d) because that is the reason why
e) and it is the well known reason
The Answer is C.
As you probably guessed by now, my question is regarding the usage of 'which'. MGMAT mentioned multiple times that 'which' can modify only nouns and noun phrases, and it cannot modify the whole sentence, which is (oh wow I didn't even realize that I typed it here until I read my thread before submit!) how answer C stated.
What's your thought on this? And if C is not right what should be the next best answer? A?
Thanks
GMAT SC says that 'which' can modify only nouns and noun phrases, so I am confused.
