Selecting Schools to receive your GMAT scores...

by knyc Sat Mar 08, 2008 5:44 pm

I'm taking the GMAT in two days and wondering if there is any harm or good to select (or not select) the schools you actually want to apply to. I'm a bit worried as I know the top schools want to see top scores.
I plan on taking the exam on Monday, and then again, once I've done more studying, next month.
Would I be better off to select the schools I want to apply to next month when my score will (hopefully) be higher?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Kate

The schools will see any scores in your record, regardless of when you give them permission, so giving them permission on your second test won't actually prevent them from seeing your first score. (Think of it as a transcript - you don't get to choose which classes they get to see. It's all just part of your record.) So it doesn't matter - go ahead and select them the first time!
