Sending your scores to schools from the test center

by EkaterinaK175 Thu Jul 02, 2015 4:52 pm

Hi everybody,

I'm preparing to take GMAT for the first time and have a few questions - hope you can help me figure them out:

1) I read on mba.com that you can choose before you start your test which 5 schools to send your scores to. Do you need to have your application started with those schools in order to be able to do that?
What should you do if the score you get is decent (and you don't want to cancel it), but it's not high enough for the schools you chose?

2) Say you chose five schools and get your scores sent, but after you receive all of your scores (IR and AWA) you realize you need to re-take the exam. Can you do that and have your scores sent to the same schools?

3) I've been reading about an option to accept or cancel your scores at the end of the exam and I'm not sure why would you ever want to cancel your score... should you default to accepting it or are there situations when you are better off canceling?

Thank you!
Katya
