Some idiom questions

by AbigailS228 Fri Sep 26, 2014 1:56 pm

I've jotted down these idioms I was (and am still) unsure of during my 6 CAT tests so they're all from different locations:

-if some figures were given on how (or as to?)
-are doing a disservice to their patients by prescribing (in prescribing?)
-providing more evidence as to whether these doctors (correct?)
-as compared to (vs as compared with)

-is the word public singular or plural?

Thanks! Test tomorrow so just a few random things I wanted to clarify.

Context is crucial here. Presented without context, these decisions are impossible to make. ("I have a patient. Should she take this medicine?" Ummm...)

So, please follow the forum rules, in three different ways:
1/ Separate thread for each problem;
2/ Reproduce each problem exactly as originally provided, including all answer choices;
3/ Post in the correct folder, please. (If these are MGMAT CAT problems, they belong in the MGMAT CAT folder.)

Thanks.
