Subject-verb agreement

OG-verbal review#28:
Eating saltwater fish may significant reduce the risk of heart attacks annd also aid for...
I think the subject of this sentence is "Eating saltwater fish", so it should be singular, but why the answer use the verb "reduce"?

The verb is "may reduce".
