Watch it for scams. They'll say the dog is overseas or in another city, and ask you to help pay for transportation.
Just go to a adoption drive. Easier and safer. Always try and meet the dog before commiting - behavioural issues are not apparent from photos.
Get a dog license from your local council.
MKA is only if you're getting a pedigree dog from a breeder. I guess some people do giveaway their pets for whatever reason. Ultimately it really didn't matter, unless you're into showing or breeding your dog. Please don't breed your dog unless you're willing to do all the required medical checks. (Hint: breeding properly is a lost making business)
The most important thing tho - have your ever had a dog? Are you prepared for it? Cos I tell you, it's not easy if you want to do it right. Can you bring it out for walks daily? Train it? Really really think about what you're commiting to - at least 12 years barring any disease or accident.
