Re: McMaster Vs. Dalhousie?

Hi there,

There are a number of factors to consider when deciding which MBA program to attend (or even to apply to, depending upon what point you are at), including:

- reputation-- not only generally, but within the industry you plan to work in after your MBA

- location (which can affect local job opportunities in some instances)

- specializations, academics, specific course offerings and programs

- class profile-- size, average experience, backgrounds, etc, (do some careful research; you can compare some details on sites like http://www.thembatour.com/studentArea/CompareUnivs.jsp)

- career services and job opportunities

- intangible factors-- read about the programs, peruse their websites carefully, get put in touch with current students/alum (ask the admissions office if needed), visit the campus if possible, sit in on a class... you'll often just 'feel' right at one program vs another

If you are very focused on reputation, aim to find out from hiring managers in the industry or even potential companies you are interested in applying to in the future what their opinion is on specific programs, since that is what will matter most to YOU after your degree (not just general reputation).

Hope that helps, and wishing you good luck!
