i have a doubt it is generally said that in a single sentence the pronoun should refer to the same noun but in the above sentence the underlined pronouns refer to different noun.On this basis I eliminated A.I have two question regarding this question:-

1. Why is it legitimate to use pronouns referring to two different subjects.
2. Can I eliminate any option on the basis of the above explanation or should I look for other ways to eliminate?

In general, if the meaning of a pronoun is perfectly obvious in context -- and the corresponding noun is actually there -- then the pronoun is fine.
