The politician's current problems are a result of

by RobinG925 Wed Dec 30, 2015 12:57 pm

The politician's current problems are a result of untenable advice from his counselors, misinformation given during campaigning, and organizational issues so that a considerable number of attempts to amend the party's hierarchical structure have failed to resolve it.

a. so that a considerable number of attempts to amend the party's hierarchical structure have failed to resolve it
b. so that a considerable number of attempts at amending the party's hierarchical structure have failed to resolve them
c. in that a considerable number of attempts at amending the party's hierarchical structure have failed to resolve them
d. that a considerable number of attempts to amend the party's hierarchical structure have failed to resolve
e. that a considerable number of attempts at amending the party's hierarchical structure have failed to resolve them

I found this question in Jamboree Test. Can anybody please provide the solution to the problem. I do not have the OA. Jamboree says its not C. I think D may be right but it does not make much sense (The politician's current problems are a result of X, Y, and Z that a conssiderable ......). Is the question not formed properly?

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Yes, They don't tell the right answer. I found this question on a new test that does not provide the answer and solution.

Anyways, D is the right answer. I found replica of this question somewhere else. I could not understand the meaning of the sentence at first look.

that is referring to all the three problems mentioned. I thought that is referring to organizational issues only.

Thanks a lot Ron :)

what would possibly be the utility of a practice test that doesn't even tell you whether you've gotten the questions right or wrong?

Hello Ron,
Don't you think that OA itself is incorrect?
In construction A and B that blah blah
that applies both to A and to B and not just to B.
therefore in the OA above,
A , B and C that blah blah..
That applies to A, B, and C all and not just to C.

Is my argument against the OA valid?
Thank you very much
