There is hope to get admission with low gmat score !!

by h-d Sat Mar 08, 2014 7:48 am

Hi

After passing the GMAT, getting lower score as I expected, ,I did not have the chance to live in English spoken country and get the maximum level to have a high score in GMAT, I decided to not give up, in fact I have a priority consideration for MBA in finance at the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business, my TOEFL score does fulfill the entry requirements but my GMAT does not, I know this test is very important to such big business school, because it measures people s ability to study easily the program, However, I have a conviction that I can handle such program because the problem is not my level of logic, nor my level of comprehension , It is due to the environment in which I lived, I believe if the school give an admission and scholarship, I will be motivated to study well, the only problem is how to convince them, I don't want to give up easily, I did a lot of efforts to be in such level, Business finance was my dream since I was teenager, I gave up a lot of activities so I could improve my English, as well as management and accounting skills.

Thank you

Hi there,

Thanks for posting. Your passion for going to business school is evident in your post, so that is certainly a positive thing. However it is also clear that your level of English is a bit lower than would be desired at many business schools, and it's a little unclear exactly what you are asking here to be honest, due to the language barrier. In terms of the GMAT, keep in mind that schools take the highest score so you can always try again if desired, with a preparation course to help you, and that can make the difference. While schools may take into consideration your environment etc, the fact remains that there are SO many competitive/qualified applicants that they do have to compare, and with lower than average scores at a given school, it may be difficult to gain acceptance. Good luck and let us know what q's you have.
