thusdays with ron. Verbal question.

by carlosutrillas Wed Jul 10, 2013 3:49 pm

Hi again,

I have another question from the first thusdays with ron video.

James and Stephanie met to discuss her homework.

Ron explains this sentence is wrong. Ok I understand the explanation Ron gives.

Ron also says:

2 ways to fix:

1) Break up the list. James met with Stephanie to discuss her homework.

2) Repeat. James met with Stephanie to discuss Stephanie´s homework.

I understand that. I have a question. Is the below one also correct?

"James and Stephanie met to discuss Stephanie´s work"

I think this one is also correct but I am not sure. Could you please help me with that?

Yup. This is correct b/c it gives one clear, unambiguous meaning.

Joe,

First of all, many thanks for your nice answer.

It would be great if you can also help me with the other 2 posts I´ve posted related to the "thursdays with Ron" section (below links). If you can´t do not worry, I understand how busy you (instructors) are

Take care

Glad it makes sense.

It looks like your questions have already been answered. All our instructors are trying to tackle these questions in the order they're received, so sometimes it takes a bit longer than people would like.
