Question: Why is e correct? Why is d wrong? I'm confused between d and e. Please advise.

D is wrong because of the phrase "interest increase", which doesn't make sense grammatically. as for E, you should NEVER ask why a SC answer is correct; it will be correct once you've identified why all the other answers are incorrect..
