Twice vs. Double vs. Two times

Ron/Stacey,

Can one of you please shed some light on the usage of Twice vs. Double vs. Two Times. These terms appear so frequently and I get atleast one SC question involving these terms, in all the CAT exams I have taken so far. Sometimes out of sheer luck I end up getting right, but sometimes not. I would really like to know more about the correct usage.
