Usage - formed out of / from, to from .. into

by alicegmat Fri Aug 19, 2011 4:02 pm

Hi!

Are any of the idiomatic expressions below more preferred to the others?
Are they all grammatically correct?

1. To form mud or clay into bricks
2. Bricks are formed out of mud or clay
3. Bricks are formed from mud or clay

Regards.

Alisha,
I think that these are all acceptable, and I can't imagine the GMAT making a distinction between a right and wrong answer with this sort of idiom.

Thanks!
