This question is far too general for a GMAT forum. The purpose of this forum is to discuss questions in the context of specific GMAT problems.

For something this general, you can get a MUCH more complete answer (with zero wait time!) by...
...looking the words up on dictionary sites and/or in physical dictionaries, and studying the example sentences;
...typing these terms into Google, along with other random news-type nouns (Obama, policy, pollution, education, etc.), and just reading tons of example sentences in which they occur.
