Hi all,
I've got a doubt in one question while solving from OG. I'm not asking question as it is from OG, so i guess it should not be restricted. The question was based on the concept taught by RON in Video (SC related).
According to RON:
We use Verb+ing => 1. When it is personalized or there is someone specific mentioned to do the job. 2. The stress is given on the process/steps of the work and person/doer is not important.
Otherwise, when the verb is not personalized, we go for Verbals i.e. Noun form of the verb (Destroy(v), Destruction (verbal))
Considering the fact above i thought the first one is preferable than the later one:
1. A firm claims the ability of assessing Something (assessment is by firm, who is specific)
2. A firm claims to be able to assess Something.
It is possible that my line of thinking is wrong, as there could be idiom issue, but i feel the solution can come thru my way also.
Please guide.
