Verb modifiers

by me.sumit.21may Sun Mar 23, 2014 8:22 am

in the following sentence : -

The nameless symphony was at last performed, decades after it was
composed, yesterday.

"decades after it was composed ", can be simply ignored as it is within two commas. it seems to be an additional information. Then how can yesterday refer to decades ?

kindly help!

It doesn't. The primary sentence is "The nameless symphony was at last performed yesterday."
