MGMAT uses GMC to describe the things tested for in GMAT Sentence Correction problems.
G = Correct Grammar
M = Clear Meaning
C = Concise Style
Our approach is to first focus on clear grammatical issues. Then we make sure the meaning of the sentence isn't altered, or is ambiguous. Last (and least), a more concise way of expressing a thought is usually preferred (however, concision should only be used between two choices without other grammatical issues). Hope that helps.
