What is the remainder when the positive integer x is

Can someone please explain the following DS question? I can see why A is sufficient but not B. Thanks!

Statement 2 tells you that x could be 15,27,39,51......
If these are divded by 6, rem is 3 for all number in the AP.

The correct answer is D
