When/while/Even though/Although+ing/ed

by CrystalSpringston Thu Sep 03, 2015 10:11 am

Hi Instructor,
I have a question regarding to the use of "When/while/Even though/Although+ing/ed". Like the examples below:

Zeb was a little shy when first introduced to these queer people.
Jimmy, even though reluctant to get up, arrives at classroon on time every morning.

I have seen a coupe of examples in GMAT SC(sorry I didn't have the real cases at hand) , and sometimes I think it seems to be correct in both meaning and grammar. Whether we can use the conj + ed/ing instead of conj + S+ V in such circumstances. If not, we can rule out the incorrect options more quickly.

Pls help. Thanks
