Which GRE Score Should I Submit?

Hello,

I am planning to apply to HBS, and Wharton Lauder among other MBA programs.

However, I am very confused in regard to which GRE scores should I include in my applications.

In fact, I got the following scores:

OLD GRE : V 620 (161) 87% - Q 690 (154) 57% - AW 3.0 14%
REVISED GRE : V 150 44% - Q 161 81% - AW 4.0 54%

My scores are really confusing!

Should I send the first one only? I have got a GPA of 96% in my Master " Engineering ", and this would compensate the low Quantitative percentile?

Or would it better to send the second one, with higher Qunatitative and Analytical Writing scores?

In case I send both scores together; how would they be considered by admissions' committees?

Hi there,

A few things to consider... in terms of what you 'send', your score report shows your last 3 scores in the past 5 years, so all will be listed there, no need to pick.

In terms of what you report on the application, some applications have room for you to list multiple scores/dates, others ask you to pick your top scores. So in most cases, the schools will see everything and consider your highest scores, most will consider your highest verbal and highest quant scores.

When in doubt, contact the admissions office at programs you are applying to for specific q's too. Good luck to you!

For the GRE scores, you can select one if you want. That's why I am wondering which one would be better to send. A score report from ETS includes only the selected scores from the same test.

So, would you please tell me which one you think would be better to send?

Hi there,

If I were you I would send either just the new score, OR send both (you can choose to 'send all' and it sends all scores in last 5 years). If pressed, the quant section often matters slightly more for b-school... it is after all a quantitative-based degree. ;) Hope that helps!
