I need help on two problems.
1. On problem 16, what does it mean by the use of the word "street?" Does it refer to all of the homes 1-8 or just to one side of the street (1,3,5,7 or 2,4,6,8)?

2. I had a really hard time on problem 18 and need help on how to go about answering it. Was it really just that since answer choice A violates the rule that ranch homes need to border Tudor homes, it is the correct choice?

Why is "A" the answer to number 16? Why can't you place another ranch house in slots 4 or 7?

Remember, the question stem asks for what "could be true" not what "must be true." So, sure you could put a Ranch in either 4 or 7, but you don't need to.

So it could be true that there is only 1 Ranch house, but each of the other answer choices have no chance of possibly being true!

Not really. I can see why choices D and E are incorrect. However I don't see why choices B and C have no chance of possibly being true. And I'm sorry but I'm still having trouble seeing why A is the correct answer. Thank you so much for all your help .

Sorry for the confusion. I missed an initial deduction and I'm sure that's what was causing the issue. R cannot be assigned to house 8 because that would violate the 3rd constraint. Tough deduction and makes all the difference.

They use the word adjacent as if it doesn't include houses facing each other, which is both lame and denotatively incorrect. No question, just pointing out.
