We don't have to assume only 2 T's, but we'd never have 3 in a row.
So two of your scenarios there are breaking the rule that says "EXACTLY TWO of the T's are consecutive".
Theoretically, we should be able to do 3 T's by doing
M T T M T
or
T M T T M
But then the final rule makes it such that we could never do T M T T M
So we'll always have 2 T's, except for when
M T T M T
Just because no correct answer rewards a given scenario doesn't mean it was impossible, btw, but I see why you started to wonder if you had missed something.
