Maintaining Concentration in RC

by ryan.oconnor110 Wed Oct 06, 2010 11:20 am

I am taking the 10/9 test and it is only a few days away. Unfortunately, I seem to be having a lot of difficulty maintaining concentration with the RC sections when I take practice tests. This makes me often miss the holistic point of the passage, and not truly understand what i'm reading. I keep telling myself that on test day I will surely be focused and I'm simply growing weary of taking PTs, but I was wondering if there is a way to promote concentration before test day that I am missing.

Any help is much appreciated,

Ryan

I don't know of much you can do to promote your concentration three days before the test. Breathe deeply, and often. Pause after each paragraph to consider for just a moment what you just read. Anytime continuous concentration is an issue, I recommend breaking the job into smaller, more manageable pieces. Good luck.
