I'm not sure about question 24 and 26...not sure what the author's opinion is.
The author says "However there is no...earning potential" in line 26, which seems the author disagrees with the link between them, but in line 58 s/he says "True...might be incorrect", which as Q26 suggests, s/he is going to argue the correlation could be true. (anticipate objection...so objection is "might be incorrect" and her/his argument is there could be correlation.) This is supported in the last sentence too..."However....economic progress".
So I thought the author agrees there is a link.
But then wonder why he said what he said in line 26 and Q24, because it seems contradicts with what I thought or Q26. (In line 26 s/he uses "However", which suggests his argument starts there...)
Or, does the author disagree with direct evidence (line26) but believe there is indirect correlation relation between them?
The author seems disagrees with the "continuous change" hyphothesis, but both the author and the hyphothesis suggest there is relationship between the economic improvement and the remedy isn't it...??
Thank you
