Having a hard time even seeing how one would get the orientation question on this one.
Need help, my initial diagram was the correct format as were my rules just not on where or how to place them.

Let's go rule by rule.

Rule 1: Otto's first day is before Raines's first day.

Any answer choices break that?

(C) does. Otto's first day is Thursday. Raines's first day is Wednesday.

Down to ABDE.

Rule 2: There has to be a day that G and R have in common.

Any of ABDE break that?

(E) does. G is Wed/Fri. R is Thu/Sat. They're never on the same day.

Down to ABD

Rule 3: One of these three guys has to be Thu/Sat.

Any of ABD break that?

(A) Nobody is Thu/Sat.

Down to BD.

Okay, so we're through all three rules and B and D are still standing.

This normally means that one of the remaining answers is breaking setup information: (how many ppl per day / how many times ppl go / whether blanks or repeats are allowed ... etc.)

Yup, (D) doesn't have anyone on Friday.

The setup says that "on each of these days at least one of the actors auditions for parts".

(B) is our answer.
