Can someone please explain the answer to question 11? According to my diagram, it seems as though z couldn't go before or after y either, and I'm not sure why A is correct. Thanks!
The latest that Y could arrive is 4th since T, W, and S need to arrive sometime after. Since U can arrive after Z, U could possibly arrive immediately before Y. Therefore, Y and Z can't arrive consecutively. So, E is the correct answer.
Here's a more visual representation of mturner's work.
R _ R _ _ _ _ color _ _ _ Y _ S _ truck 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
T and W will flip between 5 and 7 (but those spots are full). Since Y is assigned to the fourth position and Z precedes U, Z cannot be consecutive with Y.
