Hi Matt -

This isn't specifically about this question, but about this game as a whole. I sort of understand where you are going with this, because I drew out the same diagram as well. However, once I saw there were no inferences and knew that I was wasting time trying to see if I missed something, I dove in without following the diagram and guessed on most of them. I still don't see how you are getting these inferences. You don't have to talk about every question, but I'm wondering if you can just walk through how you actually went about inserting elements into the diagrams? These explanations are usually helpful, but right now I can't even put together how you are placing the elements or making these drawings. Thank you!

Tough one for sure. Much of the work above does not contain inferences, but rather hypotheticals. In games where you cannot make inferences, you're still fine, you just feel like you're working in reverse.

So instead of following the inference chain, imagine creating a hypothetical that while it doesn't need to be true, could be true. Any answer choice to Q17 that isn't in the hypothetical (or any hypothetical you create) could be false and so can be eliminated.

Hope that helps!
