Q18

I thought A would be the answer but then I looked at C and felt it's a better option. Can someone explain how A is correct but not C?

I predicted that the question stem was testing the ideas in lines 49-54, since "Abrams recommends" is about as close as we get to the question stem keywords of "an ideal work as outlined by Abrams".

1. description of event
2. discussion of social context
3. life history of individual
4. implications for all

(A) gives us 1, 2, 3, and 4.

(C) gives us 1, 2(?), 3(?), 4(?)

#2 is supposed to be social context that led to a certain event.
(C)'s #2 is saying an we got info to support the idea that a novel's setting was accurate.

#3 is supposed to be life history of individual,
(C) #3 is "Why did you choose to write this novel, author?"

#4 is supposed to be the implications in the future,
(C)'s #4 is about a comparison to the same time period

Hope this helps
