The question stem doesn't give us a very specific set of keywords to hunt for, since "corridos" appears throughout the passage.

We'd look for lines that say something like what is CHARACTERISTIC (typical / emblematic / epitomized) of corridos.

It's hard to find any line that sounds like that, but there are lots of lines that simply say "Corridos are ____ ". Those generalizations indicate something characteristic of corridos.

(A) line 23 says that corridos are sung WITHOUT embellishment

(B) line 24-25 says that figures of speech are generally RARE in corridos

(C) lines 39-42 tell us that the corrido has a formal closing verse.


(D) rhyme schemes are never mentioned, but SIMPLICITY, not complexity, is emphasized

(E) line 6-7 says that corridos are sung in Spanish.
