Hi everyone,

I am having some trouble with this question. Maybe it's because English is not my first language, but I don't seem to grasp the difference between the correct answer and the other alternatives. Isn't all of them in a sense talking about a person who is affected by an action performed by someone else?

Could someone help me?

The wrong answers do exactly as you say and refer to the recipient of an action performed by someone else in a two-person transaction. However, the correct answer (E) does not involve a two-person transaction. It does make sense to have someone:

(A) honor someone else.
(B) appoint someone else.
(C) nominate someone else.
(D) transfer someone else.

But it does not make sense to have someone escape someone else. That's why answer choice (E) is correct; it presents a counter example to the rule cited in the stimulus.
