I am a bit confused about (B).
What is "legal basis"?
maryadkins Wrote:A "legal basis" for recovery of property refers to the law or legal principle that states how recovery should happen. Both passages speak theoretically and hypothetically about rectification and justice, but neither invokes a legal basis for how that would work. Note that the question asks for what is discussed EXPLICITLY. (Note also that the Nonintercourse Act in passage B governs how transfer of lands from Native Americans to others, not RECOVERY of lands previously transferred.)
However, both explicitly mention "transfer" of property.
(C) is incorrect because passage B doesn't mention a "wholly just" world.
(D) is incorrect because neither passage explicitly discusses practicability.
(E) is incorrect because passage A doesn't discuss any invasions.
